Project Description
Obsideo was contracted by Alphamin for the engineering, procurement and construction management of the Mpama South Tin Project in March 2022.
The plant includes a three-stage crushing circuit where the ROM is reduced to -6mm before being pre-concentrated through a jigging circuit. The product from the jigging circuit, together with the -1mm bypass stream, are directed to a gravity circuit which includes 2 stages of milling and shaking tables. The ultra fine tin particles are recovered and concentrated by means of multi gravity separators. The tin concentrate is dewatered and bagged for exporting.
Hot commissioning of the plant commenced in April 2024 and achieved nameplate capacity within a month of commissioning.
